BAU 2025
Reflecting the exhibition’s “Value Up” theme, the façade exhibits for Schüco’s BAU2025 fair stand were designed to balance the raw feel of a construction site with the precision of engineered systems. Each exhibit showcased installation logic and product detailing, with visible joints, fixings, and transitions carefully arranged to reveal technical depth. Material choices and textures supported the architectural intent, while maintaining an authentic, site-like atmosphere. Rather than polished showpieces, the exhibits communicated real-world application and renovation potential. The overall layout guided visitors through a clear and engaging narrative, highlighting both innovation and practicality. This thoughtful composition created a space where guests could explore the full performance and versatility of the façade systems in a context that felt both realistic and refined.

More about the project…
Once again in January 2025, Schüco made a strong presence at the BAU fair in Munich with exhibits designed by Etcetera to reflect the stand’s overarching theme: Value Up. With a focus on renovation, the goal was to demonstrate how Schüco systems add long-term value to existing buildings through intelligent, integrated solutions. The main exhibits were developed to simulate realistic renovation scenarios, allowing visitors to explore how systems perform when retrofitted into older structures.
A key highlight was the Rain Screen façade (Kaltfassade) exhibit, where layers of the construction were peeled back to expose the full assembly sequence, giving a clear understanding of installation steps in a renovation context. The Perfect System exhibits were also presented within renovation narratives and demonstrated the versatility of Schüco’s product range, complete with integrated accessories including sun shading systems, insect screens, and a slimline glass balustrade for French balconies. These setups emphasized modularity, flexibility, and attention to lifestyle-oriented upgrades. The main renovation exhibits were enhanced through a collaboration with NBK, whose ceramic tiles introduced new possibilities for material expression in the Schüco systems while contributing to the rugged, architectural character of the installation.
To unify the look of BAU2025 and future showroom designs, Etcetera introduced a new profile finish: RAL 9011 fine structure. This deep black, subtly textured coating was selected for its durability, fingerprint resistance, and ability to pair effortlessly with a wide range of materials and architectural palettes. The coating is timeless, understated, and adaptable, so it became the base tone for all aluminum profiles at BAU 2025 and will be used in other fairs and showrooms in the coming years.
Together, the carefully crafted exhibits communicated not only the technical excellence of Schüco systems but also the brand’s broader ambition to elevate the value of buildings through thoughtful renovation and design.
